Pizza Dough

One of my favorite things ever is Pizza!

Experimenting with pizza is a lot of fun since usually you can't really go wrong.

If you want to go healthy, add some broccoli, mushrooms, or green or red peppers.
If you want to really unhealthy, try adding some fries on top. Yum!
You can always try getting a rotisserie chicken, mixing it with barbecue sauce and adding it on top.

What are your favorite pizza toppings?

Here's the recipe for some pizza dough -making the dough really isn't very much work! All you have to do is plan for an extra hour and 20 minutes.  But if you don't have time, picking up dough from the market always works!

Recipe
3 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1 cup lukewarm water
2 tbsp olive oil

For lukewarm water, boil the water in a small pan until there are little bubbles.
Take it off the heat and wait for 5 minutes.
Stir dry ingredients, including the yeast, in a large bowl.
Add the water and oil until the dough comes together.
Dump onto lightly floured surface and knead for a minute or until smooth.
Lightly oil a bowl and put the dough inside and turn it over once.
Cover with plastic wrap and put it in a warm place like the microwave or an oven heated to 150 degrees and turned off.
Wait for an hour and press air out. Let sit for 20 more minutes.

After rolling the dough out and adding toppings.
Bake at 425 degrees for 18 minutes.

P.S. Just finished King's Speech, only 5 (out 10) more Best Picture Nominated to go! Although I won't be able to handle Black Swan...

What's your favorite nominated movie?

Comments

  1. Pizza toppings? Mushrooms and pepperoni!!

Movies?????!!!! Right now, it's a tie between the King's speech with its dreamy Colin Firth and mellow piano music, and the Fighter for an intense emotional ride on multiple fronts and a rockin' soundtrack.
