Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake
Anyone catch Lady Gaga arriving to the Grammys in a giant dinosaur egg?
...WHAT? Plus, she was on 60 minutes. What craziness! I also could not get over her weird prosthetic pointy shoulders. It both fascinated and totally grossed me out.
Awards season is just too amusing.
Anyways, back to more important matters. Cake!
What would I do without chocolate? Or cake?
Life would be pretty gray without chocolate or anything sweet. I would hate to be allergic.
On to the recipe!
1 stick butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1tsp water
2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
6 oz. chocolate chips (I just usually eyeball this, about 1/2-2/3 cup)
Preheat to 350.
Mix 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, chocolate chips together.
In another bowl cream butter, 1 cup white sugar, and eggs together.
Add sour cream, vanilla, and water.
In separate bowl, mix lour, baking soda, and baking powder.
Combine into wet ingredients.
Pout 1/2 batter into greased 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle 1/2 of sugar mixture.
Pour rest of batter and sprinkle rest of sugar mixture ontop
Bake for 30 minutes and cool for 1 hour.
P.S. Happy 14th of February!

I love cinnamon (of course) but I also love chocolate. This cake combines the two and still has a great rich cake base. The not-so-secret ingredient? Sour cream!
Totally unexpected, but it makes the cake so good.
