Chocolate Covered Pretzels

First post!
Yumm, chocolate covered pretzels -the perfect mix of sweet and salty...plus a little chocolate never hurts.

All you need are regular pretzels and some dark chocolate to melt!

I like these dark chocolate wafers, even if they end up tasting like milk chocolate.

Melt in 30 second intervals in the microwave and stir each time to make sure the chocolate melts properly. Don't over microwave, otherwise your chocolate turns out weird, chunky, and gross!

Throw the pretzels in the melted chocolate and using a fork or whatever utensils, fish the pretzel out once it's coated.  Em has perfected the use of chopsticks...but a fork works perfectly!
Set them to dry on foil, wax paper, or parchment paper.

If you want to get fancy, you can melt some white chocolate and add it on top.
Or if  you're in a festive mood, crush some candy canes (there are always some around after the holidays) and sprinkle away!

Crush the candy canes in a plastic bag beneath a towel -it'll be a lifesaver!

Stay warm!

  1. Oh my, the crushed candy canes are such a festive touch! And as a big fan of mint, I think this will taste good any time of year. From a novice's point of view, these are so easy to make. And they fit so well in a little ziploc bag--a simple and yummy snack-to-go for work and school!
