M&M Cookies
It's a glorious two weeks...of doing absolutely nothing.
Well, that and eating, shopping, watching movies, and baking.
The holidays are the best.
These cookies are like winter break -oh-so-fabulous and definitely, no work at all.
Plus who can resist M&Ms?!
You can use this recipe and substitute just about anything for M&Ms -chocolate chips, Reese's Pieces...anything!
M&M Cookies (18 large cookies, 36 small cookies)
2 cups and 2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 sticks of butter -melted and cooled
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg + 1 egg yolk -at room temp
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup of M&Ms (or whatever)
Preheat oven to 325ºF
Mix flour and baking soda together in one bowl.
Mix butter, brown sugar, and regular sugar together in another bowl.
Add egg and egg yolk, vanilla, and mix.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until dough is even.
Add in the M&Ms and mix.
If the dough isn't very solid, refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
For large cookies use portions that are about the size of 1/4 cup. Bake for 12/15 minutes.
For smaller cookies, use portions that are about 2 tablespoons. Bake for 8-12 minutes.
I like to put foil or parchment paper on top of the baking pan -less mess!
