Sprinkles Cupcakes
What do you do when you have a sudden urge to bake, but limited time?
Make Sprinkles Cupcakes!
Admittedly, I've never actually made it to a Sprinkles, but I have it on good authority that it's pretty awesome. Plus, my friend gave me the cutest matching spatula for my birthday.
I may not be the cupcake's biggest fan... or a fan of frosting, but these cupcakes were pre-tty delicious.
WARNING: don't eat the top candy decoration thingy. When my friend first warned me about it, I laughed it off and forgot about it. Then when my roommate tried and made the most painful face ever... let's just say, I'm a believer.
Apparently no one ever thought to taste it before sending it off.
On another note...
It's starting again.
The pre-holidays school blues.
I swear every year, starting a week or so before Thanksgiving and then lasting until Christmas, there's very limited willpower to pick up my books and study.
Meh. At least it'll be Thanksgiving soon!
There's no cupcake recipe this week as it just came from the mix (plus 1 egg, 2 egg whites, 1 stick of butter, and 3/4 cup milk). But here's the recipe for the vanilla frosting!
Recipe: Vanilla Frosting
1 stick butter, firm but not cold
1 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1/4 tsp milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
Beat butter and salt on medium speed until fluffy.
Gradually add the confectioners' sugar.
Add the vanilla and milk and beat until smooth and creamy.
I could listen to Adele for hours and hours. Especially when it's raining outside. I still remember when I first heard one of her songs playing on the TV in London. Crazy.
While she may be on the mend from her surgery, she's releasing a DVD of her concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Since I've been on an Adele kick all day, I came across a video where she describes her inspiration for each of her songs...
Sigh.

I know. That's a Halloween cupcake liner. I never got around to making festive Halloween cupcakes. Oh well!

I GET THE SAME WAY! hence the comment on your post so quickly ;)
ReplyDeleteSHE BEAT ME TO IT.
ReplyDeleteYou and the Hermana got me listening to Adele now! I've been listening to her album 21 the last few days. Do you know that she sounds different in terms of pronunciation etc on the two albums? I mean, I think she does.
I really like the song Set Fire to the Rain. Specifically the opener.
Do those cupcake decoration things taste like cardboard? Really gross cardboard wafers? That's what they should put on the box. "Sprinkles cupcakes batter mix! Really gross cardboard wafers included!"
haha I'm so glad I'm not the only one who goes crazy around this time of year =)
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the pronunciation...I'll probably notice now though!
Yup. Tastes like cardboard. P's face said it all.
